Goewey Prairie Preserve

Enjoy this small prairie remnant along a pioneer cemetery in Osceola County. Flowers are abundant and especially showy in June and July.

Location Description

Plant communities on the preserve are mesic soil plants. Come see Compass plant, Gray-headed coneflower, and Bergamot, to name a few. The Dickcissel, Western Meadowlark, Eastern Kingbird, Red-tailed Hawk are also found here. For more information contact the Osceola County Conservation Board at 712-758-3709.
